Behind the times with TV sets. Got a few years old one at the moment which gives me free view.Getting a new one but not sure what type to get as I want to able to record etc, but not sure if I need a separate top bx to be able to do this or can I buy a TV which will enable me to do this via Ariel, hope this makes sense, behind the times here.

TVs don't record

but all the set top boxes have that option; eg Sky, Virgin, Talk Talk

Catch up requires an internet connection or dish

the simplest option for just recording through the aerial alone is a no subscription Freeview Plus box
