Haven't been to one in years, I think my eldest son was about 11 or twelve when we last went. Younger son has just come home with 6 tickets, from some people who can no longer go.
Is it okay to join in? (He's behind you - oh no he isn't!)
It's the penultimate show, Birmingham Hippodrome Billy Conley and Leslie Joseph

How lovely. Yes, shout all you want. That's what it's all about and what makes it good.

Have a good time.
oh no you can't......course you can . I once took friend's kids and to their horror was the only person in the entire theatre to shout back CRACKERJACK...lol
yell to your hearts content. just have a great time. pretend you are me and be a child. xx
Not only is it okay, it's mandatory. Only the most miserable people go to the Panto and don't join in.
Do you mean Brian Conley spikey? If so he's brilliant live. Saw him the West End once. You have to join in, that's part of the fun of a good Panto. Hope you enjoy it. xx
saw him doing jolson ...brilliant...
That's the one I saw murray...Brilliant
Enjoy it and join in until you're hoarse!

Boo and hiss at the baddie, oooo arrr at the pirates and shout back whenever you're asked to by the cominc . On the way out, book tickets for Warhorse, let it be your reward for going to panto.
Pantos are wonderful. Let your hair down and shout yourself hoarse.
of course you must join in, long ago I attended a panto at the British Embassy in Dubai,it was hubby's first panto [ he is portugese] and he was mortified when I started shouting -look out behind you- sunk down in his seat- was totally embarassed, coudnt understand why the principal dame was a man and the principal boy a woman took a lot of explaining, but over the years he shouts out now like the rest now.

You're right Mazie, I meant Brian Conley, not billy! I saw him in Jolson too at the Victoria Palace theatre - we were making our way to the theatre, and a taxi pulled up and he got out and went to the stage door.
Of course you must go and join in; all the mums and dads do. Apparently there are limits though. I went on my birthday . When the comic asked "Are there any little boys and girls in the audience who's birthday it is?" I felt my partner trying to throttle me before I could answer.
