I have several music tracks that I have paid for and downloaded and wish to put onto a music CD, however I have noticed that some of the tracks have been saved in both mp3 and Wav formats, so what format will play best on an ordinary household CD player?

Some 'ordinary' cd players do play mp3. What make/model is it?

I would use Windows Media Player and burn to audio cd. Choose the format in the drop down tab. Your mp3s and Wavs will be automatically converted and then the disc will play in any cd and dvd player.
