Sony Xperia t music transfer problems

I recently purchased the Xperia T. It takes about a minute to transfer an album. Doesn't seem to support WMA. Is this why it takes a long time? Is it converting to MP3 first. Also the album art does not transfer and I have to download it via my phone which is a bit of a pain. Is there a quicker method for this? Hope someone can help.
