Along the top of the phone there's an icon which looks like a square handbag with an arrow pointing downwards inside it, can anyone tell me what it means please? Tia

It means there are updates available - probably to Android apps you've downloaded. Swipe down from the top of the screen to access your notifications screen & it should tell you how many updates are available.
