Thanks for getting back to me.

Since the last I was on answerbank I decided to uninstall both Sygate Firewall and AVG virus scan thniking that my computer would go 'back to normal'.

Unfortunately this hasn't happened! I still can't get into hotmail, use yahoo properly and also can't use my windows media player - there are also a few other new niggles.

Have you or anybody got any ideas/advice. I'm sure I have;t clicked on something I shouldn't have. I followed all the instructions both to install and uninstall each programme.
