I haven't been able to send messages from O.E. for over a week now, except for the occasional one (and that is after about three attempts) Comes up'server not responding etc, then 'unsent messages do you want to send them now' I am with Virgin and firefox' I looked it up on Virgin and it did say 'serious fault or service down' for a few days but it is showing green now. I have checked Port nos- 465 server name etc and all seems to be o.k. I have an ethernet modem (I think!) it has a blue cable if that is any help. I am receiving mail o.k. so am using gmail at the moment to send but would like O.E. back if anyone can help. (I had the same probs about four months ago and it righted itself but wasn't off as long as a week. TIA -rosy

Hi rosyposy....I am not a Techie and am a little surprised that one of AB's experts has not responded. However, it might be worthwhile you having a look at some of the info on the following page from the Internet:-

Thank you for your reply Ron, I have just seen it. Yes I too am surprised I didn't get a reply, I thought maybe I had about done what they would have recommended anyway so it might be a problem with Virgin. It has gradually come back itself again, and seems to be working o.k. now. That is a good page to keep and I will bookmark it for when (or if :0( it happens again. Thank you again -rosy
Best wishes rosy.......Ron.
