Keyboard playing up on AB

What is going on please?

My F2 button showing @ instead of " in AB and vica versa in Word.....then Chinese characters showing. Just rebooted and now ok, for the moment......what went wrong and how do I correct.

This was on Chrome as I am at the moment.

Your settings changed - probably to usa keyboard.

If it happens again try the £ symbol - if you get # then it is set to USA.

It may not be your computer - it may have been a program you were/had used.
