I need a cheap(ish) digital underwater (probably only down to 3m) camera. Any ideas please? (no time for off the internet so it would have to be off the high street). I wondered if anyone has any personal experiences. Thanks.

I've used loads of Praktica gear over the years, and never been disappointed:

Do you already have a digital camera? Maybe you could get a waterproof case for it. Not sure how good they are. But maybe less expensive than buying a new camera.
Hi Chris,

Did you see one of the features listed on the Argos website? It is yellow apparently.

That Praktica looks good. I`ll have to have a hunt in town though as there`s no time to order it off the internet. I like the yellow colour - it means I`ll be able to find it if I drop it on the seabed :-)
Stoofur - I would get a housing but my little Casio Exilim has given up the ghost so I might as well buy something cheap and cheerful for now.
Thanks for the replies.
i am surprised at the price actually. Hope it works out for you. Maybe you could post some pics of your underwater photography.

The Praktica is only available on Argos online and I need something quick. There`s very little in the way of waterproof on the high street actually. Jessops have Fuji Finepix but the reviews aren`t very good. I`ve ended up with Olympus Tough TG620 which is not only waterproof but will replace my Casio Exilim so I`ve killed two birds with one stone and am quite happy. Now all I`ve got to do is charge it and read up on it by tomorrow!
