Can anyone tell me if my sim in an orage network mobile will only be compatible in another orange network phone? Iam looking to change and wish to keep things simple...keep same number and transferring my address book from sim into new mobile.Wasn't sure by wanting to do this if Iam restricted to orange.....Iam looking for another one that is quad band, bluetooth and has a proper qwerty keypad and not touchscreen to type....have a sony ericsson xperia mini pro but lots of pairing issues in car...any help and suggestions would be wonderful...thanks.

yes, unless you buy an unlocked phone (that means you can use any sim card)
Aye, it is the new handset that can cause problems by being locked to a particular network. The SIM will work in a handset that either isn't locked, or which is locked to Orange. But even locked handsets can usually be unlocked at a shop or market stall or even via the Net. The smart ones are more costly & difficult then the older 'bog standard' ones though.
