The calendar app on my phone insists that today is a Bank Hollibobs and cannot be persuaded otherwise. I wonder if anyone will try and wangle an extra day off because their phone told them to!

Is there a setting for which country you are in?
It traditionally should be Whitsun bank holiday today, but because of the Jubilee it has been put back to next week. Your phone settings probably predate the announcement of all the festivities.

The settings are for U.K. and the Bank Holidays for next week are marked too, so it's showing 3 Bank Holidays in total. It sometimes tells me the wrong week for the clocks going back/forward but usually rectifies itself. I know the usual dates and why they've moved one and given us one extra, but I used to work with someone who always 'muddled up' Bank Holidays and regularly didn't come in on days she 'thought' were Bank Holidays (although she never 'mistakenly' turned up for work on the actual Bank Holiday!) and I wondered if some people don't question, or would use to their advantage, a mistake on their phone/ computer.
