Why is it I can check emails on my computer, read them and consign them to the trash, but they still reappear when I check emails on my ipad?

Is there no way of making sure that emails already deleted on your computer are also deleted on your ipad. If I don't check emails on my ipad for a couple of days I end up with thousands.

Is there an app perhaps that would solve this problem. Sorry if it's an obvious solution, I'm not terriby techie.

Thank you.

I don't have an i-pad but I get the same on my phone on my email account. You have to make sure that you synchronise your i-pad with the computer each time you open up your account.
I don't know how you get your email, but there is a choice to keep email on server when deleted from device (whether that is pc, phone, laptop, tablet) or delete from device AND server.

We need much more detail as to your setup.
