I have a Packard Bell Easy Note 7J67 laptop. When I went to wake it up this afternoon to Skype with my daughter and it wouldn't switch on. The only light showing was the battery light on the front. I've checked all the connections and it is fully charged.

The "on" switch is situated on the righthand side, on the hinge. Can anyone tell me what has happened?

It's been working fine until this afternoon and hasn't been dropped or sat on.

I'm upstairs on my pc at the moment. Heeeeelp!!

Thanks jordi. I took it to a computerware shop yesterday morning, as yours is the first answer Ive had. They've diagnosed a faulty lead in the on/off button so I'm waiting for the part to come in to be fitted.

Thanks again.
press and hold the ON switch for 5 seconds. Sound like its in Hibernate mode.
