Every time I log on to the internet a small message appears in the middle of the page. It says Message from webpage then the next line has a triangle with an exclamation mark inside it followed by [object error]. It will not let me go any further until I click on OK.
Can anyone tell me what this means and how I can get rid of it?
Thanks in anticipation of your replies.

Well, this is almost certainly a problem with the web site, not with your system.
As you say "Every time I log on to the internet", I assume that what you actually mean is "When I first open my browser". If that's the case then the problem is with whichever site you've set to be your home page. If we knew what that was we could check it and see if we get the same error.
It's malware. You need to run anti-virus programmes until one gets rid of it. Or look into what it might have embedded into your system.

Yes, you are probably right rojash, I am not very computer literate. I think I have google, but I will go back and have a look. Unfortunately I do not know what to do, but I will try running my anti virus, china, to see what happens.
These things are clever, and will embed themselves into your start up process so that they appear whenever you switch your pc on. Good luck.
