help please

Hello, i am using google chrome and have accidentally selected yes when asked if i want to make AVG my default search selection, so now when i type a search onto the address bar, it gives me a secure avg search powered by google, rather than a standard google search. How to i change back please?

Hi Bednobs, click on the wee spanner then down to options. A new page will open on 'basics' and there's a bit for you to manage search engines. Just change it to whatever you'd prefer. The AVG one is awful isn't it?

Tks both for this post - I must have selected AVG also but didn't notice I had. Have now changed back thanks to advice.
