Could someone explain why on a Sunday AB becomes progressively slower during the course of the day. By 1600 GMT it is almost unusable (unless you are a very patient type) This is not Browser dependent, I have tried three different ones.

Time this problem was sorted out. It is very frustrating
All the activity on Q and P plus a smattering of sport
I was just thinking how slow it is today but I don't often come on at the weekend (or much at all now) so would be interested in any answers!
It's not just Sundays it's happened several times during the week, as you say it gets to the stage it's virtually unusable
Yep i have noticed that also, don't know why though.
You're not the only one to notice

It's to the point that AB is occasionally kicked out on my IE, the only window that this is happening on, and very frustrating.....

I am being quite specific about Sunday. As I dip into AB most days of the week.
Would agree with Rowan, but I also wondered if it's anything to do with crossing a timezone somewhere else. In olden times on T'interweb for instance, you could tell when America turned up for the day.

Although, equally I assume most ABers are UK based, with a few expats tuning in.
what speed!?
This is the only site where pages take forever to load for me

Ed's techies have probably got the bonnet up and are tinkering with stuff in the background.
Cigar for Rowan! ;0

Tech update: the //waiting for AB// onscreen message is now showing in copperplate handwriting...
It is always slow on a Sunday but worse today. I have just been on another site and it's fine. So too many users on here. Can some of you clear off please so I can move about more quickly. Thanks:-)
Either that, Zacs, or they're still in the pub!
Or both!
You're quite right. It takes ages. Ask the Ed
It's being excruciatingly slow for me, too, today. It's usually quite slow at any time, but today has been the worst I can remember. It's just stopping in the middle of a word or sentence, and then suddenly starts working again. I have come pretty close to hurling my laptop out of the window in frustration.
