Who in the uk has a kindle fire and how are they managing to operate it fully without the required us billing address?

The Kindle Fire has not offcially been released in the UK yet, though I believe a few people have ordered one from the US and had it sent over.

I was looking at a web site a few days ago where UK people were commenting on the kindle fire, and were saying because it is currently US based some features would not work in the UK, such as billing and credit card details.

Yes, I got it as a Xmas present, it is very good and is useable for books, videos and music etc and for surfing the net, facebook and google etc as well as e-mail. The only things I cannot do are buy directly from Amazon and load up apps as you need a US billing account to do this. This is because they use Cloud, a virtual storage site, and this is not legal (for confidentiality reasons) in the UK. But I wondered if any gadget geeks had one and knew how to use it to its fullest potential by bypassing the blocks? I am sure that this is possible with the know how........

Not tried it but a Google search for US Billing address throws up quite a few results. These guys at look professional and mention Kindle Fire but it's up to you...

Maybe ask in another section if anyone can recommend a way to get a US billing address. Until the Kindle Fire is released in the UK you won't be able to get apps fom UK Amazon - and possibly not even after with that device depending on how Amazon validate things but I am unsure about this.
