I seem to have lost the ability to post questions or answers when using Safari. Has anyone else noticed this? (don't forget to use a different browser to post your answer!)

Have you just upgraded to Mac OS 10.3.9?? There are some know Javascript glitches in Safari if you've upgraded to this. I'm on 10.3.6 and all works fine (for once), so I'm not going to upgrade.
Sorry I meant to add... if this is the case I can post your a link to the Apple fix for this.
Yep, it all happened when you upgraded to 10.3.9. Perhaps it is a cunning ploy to make us all rush out and buy Tiger. On second thoughts it is only MS who do that to their users.
Did you get those speakers to work?
Just a thought. How do you stop yourself from posting replies "Buy a Mac" to all those questioners bemoaning the fact that their Pc is playing up, and asking what they should do?

Hi PlainJane

I think I should buy shares in Apple, the amount of plugging I do! I have managed to convert most of my family and friends with the shouldaboughtamac line.

Anyway, the 10.3.9 update is installed + the java fix, still no joy though. I hate using Explorer - so clunky.

Regarding the speakers, I found some pretty good flat 3-way speakers in PC World for 20 quid - Hewlitt Packard - not as pretty as the Apple ones, but for 20 quid they serve a purpose - and they sound OK.
Take a look at this link http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20050427062645 284
This place is a nuts and bolts fix-it forum. What these people don't know probably isn't worth knowing. Best of luck.

(PS. Tiger does look good, just read a lowdown in MacWorld, but wait six months til you buy... let others locate and fix the bugs before you splash out)
Explorer .... Ouch!!! I know it may be mad, but I read the site on Safari, and use Firefox when I want to post an answer. I then have both browsers open at the same time, Yes must be mad.
I think I will be one of the mugs who buys Tiger early.
