ok little miss no knowledge (should change my user name!)

I am trying to connect a technika surround system to our toshiba regza hd 3d tv (posh i know, but i dont pass up a bargain!)
any way we dont have a red and white av output socket on the telly just a head phone jack socket, we have a head phone cable with the releavnt red and white cables points for teh subwoofer base unit. Still not working . Triead conecting it through the blue ray-again no sucess. We have all the seapkers plugged in but still no joy. Tried tweeking the on tv sound set up-again no joy
HELP my hubby is about to throw something at the tv!!

Have you plugged headphones in the TV socket and checked that there is an output?

yeah it does hun, hes got his xbox plugged into them

There is a red and white phono output below the woofer connection, no?
can't you use them ? .. or are they controlled by TV volume (I see the woofer IS)?

If not, you need a scart adapter with phono out sockets on the top .. like here ..and use phono leads to connect. Either that or optical (if both have it)
