I have synched my phone and iPad and it told me to install iOS5. I did this but now have lost nearly all of my apps. Are they hiding somewhere or are they goners? Thanks

The apps were hiding on my laptop in the iTunes store (if thats any help).
Mine came back bit by bit but it lost my music and photos and no idea if they are in my back up and if so, where.

Did you back everything up before the upgrade?

I synched both my iPad and iPhone and then synched them both again (in case anything had got stuck). Then I downloaded the new thing to my phone (haven't done it to my iPad yet), took flipping ages over two hours. Then when I was frantically searching for my lost stuff I saw a big button saying something like 'synch apps' and I just clicked the ones I wanted to put back on my phone. I have also managed to download the photos from my laptop onto my phone (somehow).
ok, tnx ill try that.

If anyone finds out where my photos and music might be backed up on my laptop, let me know :)
