Sometime ago on this site I read a suggestion that by adding a address consisting of a number of A's, (I think this was upper and lower case) to my email address book, this would give extra protection against hacking. Does this sound feasable?
I have just been hacked, and would welcome any suggestions to help me avoid this happening again

I think you may be getting confused with addresses and passwords.

Making your password more secure by using a combination of uppercase letters and lowercase and numbers and special characters will make you safer.

most secure passwords would be a random set of the above, such as Dyz#1FpQ9$ (the longer the better) but this is obviously hard to remember.

The next best bet is two totally unconnected words also using a combination of upper and lower case such as BaNanatoilEt (you can make it even more secure by adding a special character or two, such as BaNana$toilEt%)
Your old car or motorcycle registration numbers also make good passwords.
In fact my main email address is the registration number of my very first motorbike, and I get no spam at all.
There's thousands of e-mails going out right now, telling people that they must change their password to Dyz#1FpQ9$, because "experts say it's the hardest password to crack". :-)

Thank you anyway
Whats the point in having a complicated password if you cannot remember it yourself? So you can write it down but how safe is that?
lol
Probably just as safe using ' A1 '
