I have the above camera and it's about 6-7 years old.I wanted to take some photos but it wouldn't operate so I charged the bty.Still wouldn't operate so considering the age of the camera and the original bty I bought a new one(bty)Charged it and it still won't go ie the lens won't come out or take a photo.Any ideas please,is it a dead loss????Thanks!!

Take the new one back and demand a replacement Codswallop. That's your legal right.

I'm not concerned about the bty(bought online) but is there any hope of getting the camera going??
