Sky TV and Broadband Cancellation

Two months ago a sky rep knocked on our door and we ended up transferring from virgin media. We had a 9Mb broadband line with them and was swayed by the 20Mb sky were offering. Well to cut a long story short we have ended up with 0.5Mg and there is no chance of improving it because "of the distance from the exchange". I have just contacted sky under their mis sold complaints procedure but all they will do is cancel the broadband and telephone I have been left with the TV which I do not want without the other services. Is there any way I can get out of this contract so that I can go back to virgin.

Perils of believing someone who knocks on your door. I make it a policy not to buy ANYTHING from a person who knocks on the door.

If you are with Virgin CABLE then you are always going to get a better signal that via a normal phone line, and Virgin offer 10Mb, 30Mb and 50Mb.

Just keep bagering Sky till they give in.
just cancel your DD and instruct the bank not to issue any more payments...
