On Friday I set up my new BT internet broadband. However every time I take the laptop to work or back home it tries to connect me to something called BT FON. I have to manually select it to connect to my hub at home or here at work. What the chuff is BT FON and how can I get rid of it?

To stop it connecting automatically to the BTfon network you need to change the order of your preferred networks...

Exactly how you do that is going to depend on which version of windows you have (and also whether or not it's actually windows managing your wireless or not)

OK, thanks.

What about if I am using, dare I say it, Vista? (it wasn't my choice and I'm not allowed to change it).
Most things in vista are close enough to windows7 to be able to follow the instructions for windows7... but if in doubt..
