Hi Guys
I've read a few reviews about the Amazon Kindle on line, but I'd like to hear if anybody is loading books up with illustrations.
I like Birdwatching (Not Twitching) but have only limited ID skills.
So I would like to know how pictures look in sunlight on a Kindle?
I can see how the tech’ for pages is OK, But I imagine pictures are another issue.
Thanks stacks - swotty

My Kindle is great for novels but pictures are not in colour. Screen is readable in daylight For magazines and books with colour references etc I prefer my iPad especially as I can zoom into the pictures for greater detail and clarity.
gadgetgeek, I`m thinking of buying my wife a Kindle, can you give me a quick run down as to what to do with it once bought?
I agree that the Kindle will not be the answer for you if you're looking to identify from images. The Kindle is in black and white only and the resolution is low.
I love reading books but have recently bought a kindle ..I love it ..it's great so many free books and you can store them when you have read them I have arthritis in my wrists and found it hard to read books ..but kindle is so light it's great xx
I love my kindle.............I've downloaded 5 books tonight.
Mrs C help me out here, what do you do when you buy a kindle?,,is there anything on it or do you have to buy all the books and how much do they each cost?
Hi Elvis. I've got a Kindle too and when you get it there is nothing on it. You just register it with Amazon and then buy as many books as you like. There are lots of free ones and others start at about 75p. It's very easy to do and you just download them straight to the Kindle. I don't tend to use it much indoors but very handy to have in your handbag (not yours of course, but Mrs Elvis') when you're going out.
Thanks jan, so 75p is the going rate for most books?
That's what they start at but new releases cost a lot more. You can get a rough idea here.

Thanks jan x
i have one and i love it1
i'm a 'dipper-in-and-outer' rather than reading a whole book to the end. I might have five or six on the go at one time. It depends on what mood i'm in!
With the kindle i can ahve all them in my bag at the same time!
