I've been having sometrouble with a few games on my PC.  I'm using XP home and trying to play the Sims 2 expansion pack and everytime I try to play it a box pops up saying 'the aplication has crashed and will now terminate'.  I've done a virus scan, found one and put the files infected into quarantine but I'm still having probs.  I've tried re-installing too.  Any help?

this is usually a graphic card problem.you may need to reinstall your graphic card driver or if you games played ok a few weeks ago you can use system restore to go back to when all was ok.
Go to the games manufacturer's web site and see whether they have produced any patches for the game. Games are notoriously badly written and often require an update patch to get them to work. Updating the video and soundcard drivers is also good advice.
We have the same prob with the Sims and XP - so please let us know how you get on and then we'll do the same. Thanx.
