i down loaded to chrome from firefox
how can i found out which one i am using
when i down load a website
i do not see chrome

are you using FF now?

Press Ctrl + J

This will show you your downloads

Double click the Chrome install to install chrome. Once installed it will ask if you want to use Chrome as your default browser. If this is the case, tick the yes box.

Chrome should also automatically add desktop links and a launch icon in your programs menu (under start)

You can set the DEFAULT browser in Windows ...
Look Add/Remove Programs LHS (XP)
Start/Default Programs W7
