there was a photo of them displaying over greece yesterday and i thought of you and wondered if you had had your exciting day yet. please don't forget to tell us all about it.
They make a fine sight don't they? We sometimes seen the smoke trails they make when they're practising, unfortunatly a bit too far off to see clearly. The best I've ever seen them was a few years ago when we were fishing off Whitby on Regatta Sunday. We were about 2 miles off shore and they were right over head it was almost as if they were performing just for us and when they did the "Bomb Burst" one of them flew over us so low the back blast rocked the boat and we were left in a cloud of red smoke
Have a lovely afternoon, Sqad - and leave that poor female pilot alone, though saying that, if she can handle flying in the Red Arrows, I am sure she can handle a randy old Doc..........hahaha xx
We see them often here as I live near Bournemouth Airport. Occasionally they do a bit of a 'display' that I can see from my kitchen window to empty their dye cannisters before they land. We've been having a big 4 day air show here for the last few years and I get to see lots of the different aircraft may times as they take off or come in to land. I love them all but the BOB flight and the Vulcan bring a lump to my throat.
We used to see them when they perform at Cromer Carnival every summer.
The voice-over announces them, and they appear from out at sea and fly over the cliffs. It's amazing, one second there is nothing, and within a second, they are there, and past - phenomenal sight!
