How d I remove satinwood paint from my sofa???

Hi All,
My hubby and I started decorating our living room a couple of weeks back and he managed to spill paint down my sofa."The dustcloth slipped"!!was his answer!
Does anyone know how to get this out of the fabric.I have tried scrubbing it and it has faded a bit but still noticeable(Red sofa white paint).
I've phoned my insurance company as we have accidential damage cover but i really love this sofa and don't want to push my premiums up if there is a chance I can get rid of it.They can send someone round to try and clean it but theres a chance they may not get it out.
Anyone know how to get this out???
