How do I connect up a TV (with two scart sockets), DVD player, VCR and Freeview box, so that I can record from Freeview on the VCR? I recently got a new aerial fitted which has a v g Freeview signal. Thanks

Arial from wall into freeview box - scart lead from freeview box to Video - if your video has 2 scart sockets (mine doesn't), then scart from video to TV if not, usual cable thing from video to TV - scart lead from Freeview to TV.

When wanting to record from freeview, switch video to AV channel.

That's how mines set up anyway and I can record stuff.

Oh yeah, scart from DVD to other free scart socket on TV.

Thanks Sammy Snake, but sorry I should have said: my Freeview box has only got one scart socket (My VCR does have two). Any idea what I should do in this case? Thanks again.
I was told that you can't record freeview channels with a video because the video is analogue and freeview is digital, so you can only record the normal channels eg bbc1/2 itv etc. Does anyone know a way around this please
We record from Freeview regularly. This is how ours is set up.
SCART Splitter to TV (about 10 from Argos, Index etc.)
Ariel to freeview box.
Scart from Freeview box to VCR
Scart from VCR to Splitter
Scart from DVD to Splitter
Can't record DVD's anyway so this works fine - also if you are watcing a DVD you have to turn off the Freeview box and vice versa.
Hope this helps
