I can extract information from PDFs very easily but have a problem with extracting some information from BMWs online flash brochures.

Site asks for a valid email address before the flash pages open up (that's fair enough) but cannot copy and paste anything from these flash pages. Any suggestions? All help much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

I don't think you can do this from a .swf file - it's effectively all locked down.
I [print screen] them into paint.

Thankyou both for your answers :0

Cowtipper, do you printscreen then dump it into paint to use a character recognition software on it? If so which one?

Thanks again
If you print screen it, it is a one-layer image - you can't deconstruct it to extract the text.
This is one way that people who develop flash objects for their living, protect their income.....it's only fair.
There are several to choose from. I normally just use them as a .jpg with credit. As Mosaic said its more or less unfair to profit from some one else's work. I will normally retype the page if its a lot of data fields. Even the best text conversion software needs proof read. If its not-for-profit or you're comfortable with it or its part of your company software suite do a web search for "image to text converter".
You can not directly copy & paste from flash file, first of all you need to convert your file format. You can make your changes only in editable mode.
