How to see right-hand side

My wife's laptop (Windows 7) hs suddenly started producing her e-mails with the right-hand side-off screen so that she can't get at the MINIMISE, FULL SCREEN or CANCEL buttons or the scrolling slider. (She uses ESC to get rid of an e-mail.) The window is as far left as it will go and I cannot find anything to compress it sideways so as to make the right-hand side visible. Any suggestions, please?

Right click on the entry for the window on the task bar at the bottom and select maximise.

Or just drag it back onto the screen.
