Free or paid for?

Do you want it to do more than anti virus?

Malware attacks are probably more common than anti virus attacks nowadays so having JUST anti virus is not a good idea.

Microsoft Security Essential is a good free anti virus and anti malware product.

AVG is a good free anti-virus package.

Avast antivirus free home edition has been used by me for 7 years with no problems - very light on RAM use as well currently using 14.7 meg on my laptop
