GR seems to be at odds with their members on the General/Chat boards. Massive disruption with security of the site allowing unpleasant individuals to abuse, swear and bully others on there and goes unchecked.

The latest seems to be threads which are quite innocent being deleted at an alarming rate by the use of their review button, and members who dare to mention said button are getting banned from the site for a limited time for daring to mention it.

In view of the fact that WDYTYR is so popular on BBC1 it may amaze viewers to know the depths some people will go to to ruin what should be a fantastic genealogy site and those destroying it are those who are monitoring it.

And you're telling us lot that.....lol
I'm quite surprised by your post as I have been a member of GR since it started up. I most go away and look for this abuse as it will make a change from the CB sh!te.
I've just lapsed my membership from GR - I didn't even notice they had chat boards. I gave up when I discovered a second cousin - she was so thick I got scared and gave up searching! Apparently I have unread messages - could be her, I don't want to know!
lol carrot I didn't know there was a chat site either but have just been for a look........seems to be full of bitchy, gossiping welsh women. I found some cousins I didn't know about through GR.....it was great....they're gypsies!!
that's exotic - explains your love of big earrings and the smell of hot tarmac though!
^ spookily correct......
Shouldn't that be WDYTYA not WDYTYR?
daffy I don't think they'd have me on there....so far my most exotic ancestors have been a whaling boat captain and a travelling quack doctor......
My family would be more likely to be on the Jeremy Kyle show craft.lol I have never bothered researching my family tree,i'd be quite interested to find where the insanity gene started though!
