when I create a table the text wont wrap at the table boundary - just pushes it to the right. I am used to Word table where it does wrap.

I simply can't create columns of text!

This is not a helpful answer - but why on earth are you using Frontpage 97!
be careful with it, it's an antique.

I'm sure you are right about the antiquity but it's all I've got. I checked the tutorial, but sadly it doesn't give the magic potion for word wrap.
I am not familiar with 'FrontPage 97' ( I use Dreamweaver ) You will force word wrap to come into effect if you fix the width of the table or the width of a column. (widths can be set as percentages or pixels)

Whatever page designer you use, there should be a simple way of setting the table attributes.

I've been setting the minimum column width in pixels (note it's min not max). When the text gets to the right hand side it simply shoves the column boundary out, instead of wrapping. that's the problem!
