I recently had a virus and had to reinstall windows XP. Since then every time I close Internet Explorer it wipes the history clean. Is there an option somewhere to change this as I want to keep my history. I've been throught all the internet options I can find . I found one that was something like "empty history when closing explorer" and unchecked that but it has made no difference.
Any help appreciated.

In Internet Explorer:-

Tools

Internet Options (bottom of pull down menu)

Click on the "General" Tab and look for the second item - Browsing History, then click on "Settings"

Days to keep pages in history (right down at the bottom of the screen) - presumably this is set to 0 or 1 at the moment - just adjust to whatever you want (maximum 999 days)

Thank you. I have tried this. It is set to 20. I tried adjusting it to 14 in case it was 0 and was lying to me but it made no difference.
