I'm in the US and I got a silent call from a number in London, UK. The number was identified but not the name. Is there some reverse phone number lookup in the UK where I can find the name that matches that number?

why can't you ring the number???
whats the number?
In the UK, data protection legislation makes it illegal to provide reverse search facilities for phone directories (both online and on CD). Unless the number comes up on a Google search, there's no way of tracing the caller other than to phone the number and ask who they are.

Its a sales call. Dont worry about it. We get them all the time from the States trying to sell stocks in obscure/non existent American companies. If it worries you then ring them back.
Some websites such as 192.com will be able to tell you the name associated with a telephone number. However, they will charge you.
