youtube videos

How do I save a video from youtube? Theres a brilliant one my daughter wants me to put on disc for her but I have no idea how to save it, right click, save doesnt work and theres nothing I can see on the page that tells you how to do it :( Its not a copyrighted one, just a collection of ghost videos.

It probably is copyrighted but the author that put it up, but that's another issue.

Copy and paste the youtube link address to that site, and it'll give you a download link. You can then right-click and save that.

The file is a .flv file, and you'll need something like VLC to play it with:

You could then convert to DVD with some other tool.

You can also download from YouTube by inserting the word kiss in front of youtube.com in the address bar.

I admit it won't work first time every time but it will work.
I CAN"T Create a link for the getvideo addon (just type it in )
You will need another tool to convert to dvd as fo3nix has said.

really easy way is using vixi.net, you just put the url in and you can pick whether you want sound only etc etc

sorry if i'm to late to answer this questions, i think there is only one that powerful enough to download video from youtube, i'm using mozilla firefox and downloadhelper addon, i like this addon because i download video not just from youtube, but from metacafe, dailymotion, redtube, and many more, this add on will download anything on the site that contains flv, avi, mpg, mp3. if you're interested using mozilla and it's addon try my tutorial to do that :
