I'm trying to send a 46mb attachment with hotmail but it's not having it , surely this isn't too big?

I would imagine 46mb is far too big for a hotmail account.
The old limit for receiving attachments via a hotmail account was 1mb - this may have increased, but 46mb, either receiving or sending would be a stretch.

46MB is huge for an attachment. I think hotmail currently limits to 10MB.

or use msn messenger. i once sent a 1.5gb file over msn messenger. takes a while but it works. used to at least
