Pics Not Showing

I have noticed these last couple of weeks that some pics do not show,I get a small icon which looks like a page with a bit of green on it and the top right-hand corner turned down.
What software am I missing or maybe need to update.?

Odd. It should be updated automatically (so it's unlikely there's an update problem).

Do you use any plugins or extensions?

doesn`t work on IE neither but on there,shows up as a small square with a cross in it

Click the three lines in the top right > Settings > Extensions

What do you see there?

How odd. None of that should be playing with the pictures at all.

Have you tried a different browser to test? Visit this page in internet explorer, or Firefox to see if the issue is with Chrome, or your connection.

Am on IE now,like I said,I went to the page I cannot see pics on and it is the same other than the little icon is different

what software allows one to see the pics,especially in emails where I am noticing it more
