Help needed with a laptop

I am so ashamed to admit this, but here goes. I've bought a new laptop and for the first time ever I have bookmarked several pages of interest. My question is, how do I retrieve the bookmarked pages? I don't know where to start.

If it's IE there is a star in the top right corner, click that.

I'm on Google Chrome. There is a star on the top right but that just bookmarks the page - it doesn't tell me how to retrieve it

Click the wrench in the top right and select bookmarks.

Oh and you can also show the bookmark bar, which will show your bookmarks under the address bar, but that'll soon get filled up unless you start organising your bookmarks into folders.

I'm on Chrome. All my favourites/bookmarked entries appear on a row below the address bar /Favourites star

On the subject of "Bookmarks", I too bought a new laptop recently and imported my "Favourites" from IE8 into Chrome. Up until recently, about a week or so ago, the folder at the end of my Bookmarks bar titled "Imported from IE" used to show the bookmarks in a column down the left hand side of the screen when clicked on. One day last week when I clicked on it the column of Bookmarks appeared on the left of the screen about 50mm from the edge.

Did I unknowingly do something to cause this? and if so, how can I get it back to the edge of the screen?
