Hi everyone!

I noticed this a while ago, but have only just thought to ask about it. Whenever I enter a term into the Google search box, a 'w' or 'W' shows as around half as bold (& thick) as all other letters.

Hardly earth-shattering, but puzzling - at least to me! Any ideas, please?

With thanks for your time, L-i K :-)

I've just thought to try the alphabet in AB's search box & it doesn't happen here.
not me either
Looks like it's just you!
Some fonts can do slightly strange things if you've got the zoom level set to anything but 0

CTRL + 0 will reset the zoom to standard so you can see if it looks OK then, CTRL and + or - will let you set the zoom back to a comfortable level for you.

If it's a big worry changing the default font used in your browser would probably make it go away.

Thanks guys!

Chuck - not a worry, just a niggle, you know? There must be a reason for it after all... The screen is & always has been set to '0', though I've tried zooming, & it stays the same - hang on...

... 5 minutes later - your comment made me try Google through Firefox & it seems it only happens through IE?!

I'm away to my pit, back tomorrow, good night all!
Night Maj Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ♥
Forgot to add it does not do it for me either, I use Chrome.
1. try yahoo or other search engines.

2. check your emails, in and out.

3. check natural default font in your documents. Key in new material.

As far as I can tell, it only happens in the Google box using IE9 - everywhere else I go with IE9 seems fine.

I'll try to work out this "default font" malarkey sometime...

Thanks again to all!
