Ethnic origin has been on several job applications I've completed recently. you're allowed to ask it, you're not allowed to discriminate because of it.
Can't you just put something like #dfb563. Make 'em work for their census answers?
it is legal to ask for a candidates ethnic origin
Oi, Don't go calling me a #dfb563!

us #dfb562ers are nothing like those weirdos!
Is it 'cos I is #000000?
any messing with the answers will only culminate in them contacting you again.
No need to be cheeky...I was just funning as I thought thats what you were doing.Obviously not...
It doesn't matter id you're #000000, all that matters is where your 127.0.0.1 is.

Dris ...I agree ...
Census should not be taken serious.
However I struggle to know, knowing how many people have black skin is going be of value ?
Unless your supplying the BNP with data of course
Many employers include a questionnaire on ethnic origin as part of their application form. This should play no part in the selection process but is included in order to enable employers to monitor the proportion of ethnic minority applicants and the success rate of their applications. Such questionnaires have the approval of the Equality and Human Rights Commission and are usually a sign of an organisation that is serious about promoting equal opportunities.
whats JoggerJayne going to put in as she wrote in her Arsenal Barcelona thread that she has a mixture of brown, white and purple, post her skiing.
When I was at work, many years ago you were expected to employ a percentage of disabled people. I think it was a very small percentage probably 3%. Correct me if someone knows differently. I remember having to make out a return for some reason with who were disabled in the factory. The strange things the employers used to call disabled to get round the ruling! I think you may have to do the same now with people of different ethnic origin.
you mean the proverbial black one legged, jewish, dwarf, lesbian director that every company needs to employ.......?
Yeah! that's the one DT
It was to provide equal opportunites for everyone and yes it was 3% Starbuckone.
Thanks dris. It was a long time ago and I was not quite sure if I remembered it rightly.
How's the face? Are you feeling better?
Its still flaring up randomly.Better than Friday night but still dont feel that well.Think i'll have to go to my own GP but theres not a lot he can do other than give me strong painkillers. Thanks for asking ♥
