My trusty Psion 5 can't go on much longer so I bought a Nokia N900 as a replacement. I thought I could easily find a database in the apps on offer but no luck so far. I can't copy music from my PC either. Any advice welcomed.

Not sure what you need the db for, but sticking Maemo Database into Google brings up some hopeful looking results. Can't help on the music I'm afraid - I'm have a WinMo phone that can either sync with WMP or you can just drag and drop.

I collect coins and when I go to a Fair and see a nice one I can look in my database to see if I've got it. There is a good crossword solver on the Psion too.
I'm having trouble with the music - the collection supplied with the Nokia is the worst I've ever heard!
http://portabase.sourceforge.net/ may be of use for the database side. Can't help with the crossword solver, though.

Looking at the manual, The phone has bluetooth and USB connectivity; you should just be able to drag and drop your own music into wherever its music repository is. (Or use the Nokia software to do this).

Thanks for the advice - Portabase looks a good option.
The N900 has WiFi too but moving the music files failed for some reason.
