Video editing with Nero

I have just started to use Nerovision to try and edit my VOB files (which nearly every other program is unable to do), and although I only want to cut out some errors when I follow the instructions and move the sliders either end of the offending seconds, it removes the bad bit and saves it as a clip rather than cut it out of the main film. The help menu doesn't say anything more than what I'm doing and as clearly not designed to multiply errors but delete them has to be capable of doing so.

But how?

That's because it thinks you want them as scene clips. I will check mine and post again tomorrow.
I wish you knew about TMPGenc 4 XPress ... Fantastic software .. has been for years. This will do what's needed without all the Nero trouble..

Thanks AlBags, you were right, I found there's a split button, you have to split the scene where you want the edit, then cut the end off one of the remaining halves. It's a pretty good editor once you get the hang of it (although the instructions are almost non existent meaning I had to come here). It came with a camera (no software did with the video one though) so wouldn't have wanted to pay for another I'd hardly ever use.
