What format are the addresses in currently...?
Question Author
They are addresses I have printed out for charity donations for my solicitors for when I `kick the bucket`, and they wish to know the Reg Charity numbers, and I just want to add numbers to them if poss.
If they are on paper then you will need a scanner and some OCR sofware.
If you don't already have these, then you will probably be quicker typing them in directly to MS Works.

Forgot to mention, I have a scanner, but what does OCR mean?
A scanner just produces a photographic image of the page.
OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition and is software that recognises the letter shapes in the scan and converts them to character codes (ASCII) that can be edited in a word processor. Several scanners have OCR software bundled in on the installation CD.

If you don't have that, then just for the one task it is probably not worth going out to get it - quicker to retype it.
