Hi, anyone help?

The 'pound' key on my Acer laptop does not print the 'pound' sign.
It prints the 'hash' sign. The hash key prints a 'slash' sign.
There are other keys that are wrong and I have tried everything!
The language is English/Uk and I purchased it new from Comets
a few years back.

Happily, I do most work on an HP desktop and I now wish I'd bought
an HP laptop. I'm on my second HP desktop and I think they're the best,
although I know some will disagree, but we can only judge by what we read.

Thanks in advance.

Well it sounds like it is still set to the American layout. Go into control panel and check that it is set to English UK

Thanks Pauln90. You were right! The answer did lie in the Eng/USA
language after all. However, because Americans must use the £ key,
I actually photographed every page (about 18) on language off my desktop and
copied every box that was ticked (or unticked) onto my laptop.
There were differences. Problem now solved. Once again, thanks.
