Keyboard problem

Son, with a learning difficulty so I can`t shout at him, has spilt fizzy drink on cordless keyboard. Just a couple of keys are sticking. It`s a new keyboard, has anyone got any solutions?

Take it apart and clean it. It's not too difficult.

remove the battery

if only a couple of keys ... you need to wave the keyboard about to shake out any loose pop (I know ... but it's going to dry like concrete

then put it somewhere warm to dry completely

gently keep pressing the keys until they work loose ...

if no joy ... THEN try taking keyboard apart ... you're going to need a new one anyway

If it's a fizzy drink, chances are that it has sugar in it. If so, it's unfixable unless you are very, very lucky.

We have a rule in our house that applies to everyone.

No food or drink on the computer table.

It may be difficult to start with but it works.

if your keyboards key are not working , try to clean the key from the dust cleaner.

put the keyboard in the sunlight for some time , if it works than its alright.

otherwise change the keyboard

Sorry to have taken so long to reply to all posts. Had a go at taking keyboard apart, got the `a` key cleaned but , to cut a long story short, we bit the bullet and bought a new one. Thanks to all who took time to answer.
