Sometimes a detected virus is no such thing and immediately deleting it from your hard drive could cause your computer to malfunction.
Putting it in a 'vault' means it can be easily restored if necessary and deleted when you are satisfied it isn't an essential bit of one of your programs.

thanks for the info hc, but how do I know if I can empty the vault? Is it just a matter of leaving it for a few days and if everything keeps working ok I can empty it out of the vault?
Yes, it isn't something to worry about. Leave it a couple of weeks and then empty it.

when the anti virus scan the computer and it detects the threads it automatically delete it. so no need to worry about it.anti virus only delete the files which are not useful for the computer.
you can also delete it manually from the computer after scanning the computer.so that your computer will be safe from the threads.
