anti virus

Hi

Can anyone tell me the best free anti virus please?
I have used AVG for 3 years but suddenly the updates will not connect even though I am online.
I have tried Avast and sadly dont understand it.
I have Comodo now........How good is it?
As you can probably tell I am not very computer literate.

Go back to AVAST and try a bit harder. It really is easy. Don't rate AVG and IMHO Comodo is for a more experienced user.

Yeah, I understand how you feel. I`ve paid for Avira AntiVir Premium and like you I don`t understand anything about it. I just do a weekly scan and hope for the best. it`s a pity these things aren`t explained in a easier format for beginners to computing.

The same is happening to me with AVG, every day it pops up and tells me the connection has failed and puts a big red blob over the flag sign on the task bar, I ignore it for a while then when I look it's usually ok and working again. If not when I click on update now it usually comes back to life. I've used AVG for about 9 years now and don't really want to change so I'll just put up with it and hope it gets put right soon.
